Put a folded up cotton towel under the riser, if you are worried it might scratch your counter— or need a tiny bit more height. No two kitchens are alike. Spray with vinegar now and then if hard water is your nemesis.

We got sick and tired of plastic drainboards (even supposedly "good" ones like Rubbermade) warping and working poorly. At a friend's suggestion we checked out the products here and decided to stomach the expense, get a drainboard for a lifetime, and be done with the disappointment. Came quickly. The quality is outstanding. And the function is perfect!

This drainboard is perfect! It does the job better than the plastic ones by far. NO water issues from any angle. Extremely sturdy does not warp or bend when weighed down. Well pleased with this purchase .

We needed some kind of dish drainboard that would not pool water and one large enough to fit our rack. I have tried microfiber towels and trays, all of which got very soiled and left me feeling like they were doing more harm than good. As we were going to remodel our kitchen I also looked into drainboard sinks, but the cost is prohibitively expensive for us. That is where the Hickoryware steel drain board entered.
I originally found this company through Amazon, but I am so glad I found the company website as there are more options here. However, the reviews on Amazon, with the photos, were helpful.
I was delighted that there were two orientations for this item on this site, and we went with the side opening, as it made the most sense for the space configuration we have. I am very happy with our purchase and the quality of this drainboard. The price is also a bit less than Amazon, and being able to avoid them was a nice plus. I have no misgivings about germs hiding on my counter or drainboard and everything drips nicely into the sink. A snap to clean. Can't beat made in the USA! 5 stars.

Love it!

The board was sized properly, built well, and packed securely. The only problem is that some water still pools around the tapered edges at the drain end. However, this is much easier to clean than the plastic board it replaced.

It was very well placed and sizes came to fit exactly what we expect it for. Mr. Wendell has helped me tremendously to find the right size custom built product for us to use.

Great item! Works great & looks great! I got tired of replacing cheap plastic drainboards every so often & trying to keep them clean. This is simple to keep clean & probably never have to

I love this drain board. It’s beautiful and functional. It’s got a good angle for the water to drain off. I sprung for this board because my old plastic drainboard warped and drained the water on my foot! My only complaint is that they are currently sold out! I’d like to buy another one.

Although it is slanted the water does not drain off readily. Would be better to have ridges so items are held up, out of the moisture and air can circulate

I love this drainboard. The water drains out great. We have hard water and get some spots, but easily wiped off. The size is perfect also. Would recommend, you won't be disappointed/

Our dish drying rack has a drain pan that retained water and it would get all cruddy. This pan drains the water off. The pan from Homeplace isstury andjust the right size.

I am so grateful to have a well made, attractive alternative to the plastic dish drains that don't last.
