Hi there! Thank you for your feedback on our OAKWARE pitcher. We're glad to hear that you're enjoying the product overall. Regarding the lid, we apologize if it seems a bit tight to remove. We recomend making sure the vent is open. It also works better once the lid is wet.
On the plus side, STANLEY had 42 cases in their lawsuit of the lid coming off when pouring with a STANLEY pitcher. In those cases, people got burned and drenched. At least if the lid comes off hard, you will not have that problem!
