This part will fit Oakware Motors and White Mountain Ice Cream Freezers. Upgrade your White Mountain Ice Cream Freezers with this quality electric motor, designed to fit perfectly with Oakware Motors and White Mountain Ice Cream Freezers for a smooth and efficient churn.

Notice: A manufacturing change on motor has made the studs on either end, 1/8" too close together. This means, you may have to use a drill bit and ream the inside of the hold a little to get the cap to fit easily. This does not affect the performance.

Replacing White Mountain vintage motor model 692

I was concerned about replacing the motor from a vintage model 692 White Mountain ice cream freezer. After reading previous reviews, I was concerned that the “new” replacement motors by Oakware may not exactly fit the old motor (yellow) housing. I used the online chat function and received quick responses to my questions which also indicated some small spacers/washers may be needed to get the motor to rest securely on the freezer housing. Following the advice, the new Oakware motor fit my vintage freezer motor head.

New motor was almost exact match as original, installation was simple.Hopefully this motor lasts as long as the last one. Just purchasing the motor way cheaper than purchasing new upper unit.

Efficient motor

This motor replaced the original motor that I purchased a few years ago. My first motor seemed to struggle and would get incredibly hot after churning. This motor hums along and churns out fabulous ice cream. It's not even hot after all of its churning labors.

Perfect replacement

If you want to keep your White Mountain ice creamer alive, this motor is a perfect fit, at least for mine, built by Rival in the 80s, I think. My old motor had gotten some salt in it and was starting to act up. Don’t let salt get anywhere near your freezer motor!

Good replacement motor

I was very happy to find this as the White Mountain corporation is out of business. Fits correctly inside motor housing. Relatively easy to install if you have a basic mechanical and electrical knowledge. Definitely cheaper than buying a new ice cream freezer. Works nicely -- I think it runs even quieter than the original. I cannot comment on longevity/durability. We only occasionally make homemade ice cream and have only used it 3-4 times so far.

When first using the ice cream maker it got hot and shut off to soon , I had to cool the motor down to finish manually the ice cream

Perfect fit

This was a bare motor replacement for a White Mountain 6 qt ice cream maker that was made approx. around 1999. The form factor including mounting bolts and spline from the new motor fit perfectly within the original White Mountain motor housing. I am used to the old motor bogging down audibly to indicate the ice cream was ready. I had to listen carefully with this new motor to have an idea if the ice cream was setting. Regardless, the ice cream was perfect. So glad I could retro fit this bare motor as the original ice cream maker belonged to my father and law, so it has become a bit of an heirloom in our family. The ice cream maker on the outside is still original parts, so I am pleased with the outcome.

White Mt replacement

I was very hesitant to spend that price for a replacement motor. But after having a white mountain for well over 20 years I decided to go for it. The install was a breeze, and after crossing my fingers, made my first batch. We had ice cream in 12 minutes. Since then we have made 2 more, and that was just the first week. The motor runs very well and is quiet. The delivery was exceptionally fast. I would totally do this again.

Replaced White Mountain 6 Quart Motor

Perfect fit to the White Mountain 6 quart housing and gear head. I ran the motor for 20 minutes without a load to break it in and then mixed a batch of Ice Cream. It ran just as expected and much quieter that the worn out motor.

Exact Replacement, but Touchy Install

Motor is exact replacement but installing it required several attempts. After I installed it the first and subsequent times, the motor would bind and not turn when plugged in. I finally plugged the motor in with the mounting nuts loose. With the motor running, I tightened the nuts until the motor started to slowdown then backed the screws off a hair. I let the motor run for nearly an hour, with no problems after doing this.
