Alumi-Coop Classic - 5x6 Lightweight, Aluminum, Chicken Coop Tractor for Chickens

The 5x6 Holds 10 Layers, 10-20 Broilers, 10 Ducks, 8 Turkeys

Great for your backyard hen flock!

Designed to make light work of giving your feathered friends the best of care! The Alumi-coop is quickly becoming the standard that other coops are measured by. These coops are designed by a poultry farmer. Get the best value with a nestbox, roost, feeder and waterer - all made to easy assemble and install.

The Yuneek rollaway community nest box is designed to help keep eggs clean and less damage. The nestbox can be configured to gather the eggs on the inside or outside of the coop. The vinyl flaps keep the interior dark and help the hens feel safer with less stress. This encourages them to use the next box. On traditional compartment nest boxes, chickens tend to crowd into only a few of the nest boxes. With the community style next box, more chickens are able to use a smaller nest box without the crowding problems.

Excellent construction

Excellent construction. The winds were clicked at 73 mph last night during a tornado watch and nothing moved on this little coop.

Hi there! Thank you for your feedback. We are glad to hear that our Alumi-Coop Classic held up well during the strong winds. It's always wonderful to hear positive experiences from our customers. Thank you for choosing our lightweight and durable chicken coop. Have a great day!

Excellent quality on time and easy set up

Received within on week and set up with my 12 yr old son. (He did a lot of the setup) Took about three hours including the electric fence option we also purchased. I spoke with a staff member prior to ordering and he made it so easy. Everything went exactly as he said it would.
One minor tweak would be the instructions, we had to re-do a couple steps because they were a tad confusing, but not a big deal at all.
Super simple to move even with the electric fence.highly recommended.

Hi there!

We are happy to hear that you found the setup process to be easy and convenient, and that our staff member was able to assist you. We apologize for any confusion with the instructions, but we are glad to hear that it was not a major issue. Thank you for recommending our product and we hope you and your son enjoy your new coop!

Wish the coop was all high grade stainless steel or aluminum

The birds like it. The coop is easy to move. The birds like to have new grass. I am glad I do not have to clean out a coop.
But...
Aluminum mesh exists. High grade stainless steel nuts and bolts exist. Making the nesting box out of aluminum or stainless steel coulda been done. i mean, the reason one buys an "aluminum" coop is because one wants it to last forever, not 5 years.
Telling me "galvanized lasts" is silly; you woulda made the whole thing out of galvanized metal if ya thought it was so high end. Your advertisement should say "Aluminum frame chicken coop, all other parts of coop not aluminum"
I do wonder how a vinyl sheet roof will keep out a raccoon. Guess I will find out.
I also do not understand how there is zero system for protecting the base from digging raccoons. I am designing my own movable protection system for the base.
But, for the price, I should not have to deal with these issues.

There is still room in the coop market for a real "aluminum coop"

(If you had purchased a thousand stainless steel bolts, you would have gotten a much better price than I did. If you had bought 50 yards of aluminum mesh, same thing, so don't tell me the price would be too high. Aluminum mesh is not that expensive.)

-Thank you for taking the time to leave a review for our Alumi-Coop. We are glad to hear that your birds are enjoying their new home and that the coop is easy to move. Our coops are designed to meet the needs of 99% of our customers. I am sorry that we could not meet all your expectations. While there are a number of different ways to build a coop, we choose a setup that meets the needs of: Liteweight, Strong, Long lasting.
-Our aluminum frame makes the coop liteweight. Most rust starts at ground level, so this takes care of that issue. Our wire mesh is a heavy gauge, galvanized AFTER welding is strong. The design of the coop, along with the strong galvanized after welding mesh makes the coop very sturdy. The idea of aluminum mesh does sound appealing. However, testing has proven that aluminum wire is very soft and stretches very easy. Most customers would not be happy with a sagging wire in 2 years.
-Coons... smart little creatures. While anything that lets chickens scratch in the grass is also suseptible to coons, the Alumi-coop has a strong benefit. Since the coop moves easily, moving the coop is the first deterent to predators. No predator likes to snoop around an object out in the middle of a pasture that unnerves them by moving easily. If you have trouble with coons, we recomend the Med, Large coop with higher side walls. In our experience, a coop that moves everyday, seldom has coons that will dig underneath the rails that are set directly on the ground. Alumi-coop now offers a shocking wire that can be installed around the perimeter of the coop. Let me know if you need more details on this.
-I am sorry the title does not contain all the details you need to make an informed desicion about what the coop contains. We try to place the needed info in the description to help you know what to expect. Please look at the videos if you need more info.
Thanks again for the review.

Best Chicken Coop

We have 20 chickens we raised in this coop and live in Georgia. I found this to work extremely well. We actually bought the igloo or something like that thinking we would use that as well just in case the alumi coop was too small. I am not a fan of the other product is built well and maybe for a small yard that would work but it isn't as easy as this coop. I can move it around a lot easier with the big wheels. I have hte 6 x 10 I wanted to be able to add more chickens in the future just in case we raised them. Very sturdy, like how the sun gets inside but also well shaded for them in other areas. I move it daily because I don't want them tearing up the grass. I am reseraching what else I can raise in this thing. I have had a barn for chickens, a tractor, and the igloo. This is the best. Looking at doing quail or some other bird in this. I want to do rabbits but i think i would have to put wire mesh on the bottom to raise them in here or something.

Hi Darrell, Thanks for letting us know about your experience with the Alumi-coop. We are always looking to better understand how to meet our customer's needs. Your feedback is very helpful for us and others interested in raising their own flock. Have fun raising your flock!
