not quite made in US

I got both the drying rack and tray. both products are great but I was very disappointed to find that the rack was not made in the USA but China. I was willing to pay the higher price for locally made items but unfortunately the rack wasn't. I'm glad the tray was but just felt like I was fooled into thinking it all was made in the US

Hi, Thanks for sharing your review. The drainboard is built in a small metal shop in Pennsylvania.
I am sorry it was not clear that we have the rack built for us in China. We will need to make this clearer. Getting these racks was a long process.
The racks are built specially for us, down to each wire and type of utensil holder and size. We tried to find a company that would make the racks for us in USA, but the tooling costs for someone to build a rack for us would make the rack cost over $40 each plus shipping.
We instead opted to take the plunge and get a container load of dish racks, built to our specs.
We offer these to folks who want long lasting dish racks built from stainless steel and not just chrome plated steel that will rust. Thanks for your understanding.

This is a good quality steel tray

This is a good quality steel tray. I had very high expectations after going through many plastic trays. But water stays stagnant on it and doesn’t fully drain unless you tilt the tray manually really well. Tray needs to be cleaned well almost every other day, otherwise there will be water marks and deposits.

Hi there, thank you for your feedback! We're glad you find the tray to be of good quality. We appreciate your tips on draining and cleaning, which can help others get the most out of it.

We tried to find a balance between the critics saying it is too steep and the dishes will fall over and too flat that it does not drain. This model seems to be a balance between both.

I understand your concerns about water spots. Do you have any suggestions how we could have the water evaporate without leaving the minerals behind? I would love to make product that could earn your five star review. Other than requiring that customers use an RO filter on their water, I do not think it is possible to allow the drain board to dry without wiping without leaving water marks. Let me know what we can build that would meet your needs.

Thanks for your business.

So Glad

So Glad I finally found a stainless steel dish drain. I have tried so many - plastic, cloth but everything gets moldy except stainless steel. I'm very happy it stays clean, does not leak and washes up shiny. Goes great with my stainless steel dish rack.

Hello Wendy,
Thanks for sharing your review. Our business is customer centered, so it is great to hear from great customers like you.
Thanks Again,
Wendell

Stainless--for a lifetime of use

We've had stainless steel wire dish rack for about 15 years, and love it. But while the rack itself will last for many lifetimes, the plastic drainboard under has not. This drainboard from Homeplace Market Wagon is a perfect replacement. . .and better! It's tilted to let the water drain easily and the surface is easily cleaned. We don't need brush to get dirt out of the plastic like the old one, or subject it to the dishwasher. Like all brushed stainless, it shows some water spots. But periodic cleaning with vinegar or lemon juice and baking soda will bring it back to new. My only suggestion for improvement would be to have the satin brushing running the length of the board, instead of the width. It might reduce the water spots some, but either way, it's no big deal. It does exactly what it's supposed to do--drain water back into the sink. Perfect!
