We recommend replacing all the gears at one time (included in the set) If your dasher slips in a new or almost new gearframe, you probably have the cheap imported White Mountain gears. Your best bet is to buy a set of our stainless gears, which has a slightly smaller square hole, and is of better quality.

15+ years ago my 6 qt White Mountain Freezer had been damaged from improper use at a Family Reunion. I put it on a shelf and thought someday I will get time to fix that gear mechanism. I spotted a set of new gears on Homeplace Market's website and ordered them. They came very fast and I went to work on getting the entire freezer refurbished. Now it looks as good as new and have put the first batch of our Family Secret recipe through the dashers. Live is good again! It’s a shame White Mountain went to China for their gear sets. Poor choice. Fortunately these gears match the dasher and can lid. Our freezer has new life now, thanks to Home Place Market

50 year old machine is working smoother and quieter than it has in a long time. Used only two washers on the shaft and two large plastic washers on the bottom gear and one on top of the upper gear.

Will USA replacement gears for a 4 qt White Mountain ice cream freezer fir the motorized unit (compared to the hand crank unit)?
The replacement gears are for the hand crank only.
We do offer replacement parts for the White Mountain motor, however, due to the WM plant in China either out of business or not functioning, there are very few parts to be had. Check back from time to time. If they are available, we will make them available here.
