Update from my 7/15/24 review about issue regarding assembly. I found that, once assembled, there is enough slop in the retaining parts, if the retaining hex screw is loosened and re-tightened, the assembly process becomes easier.

We are now proud owners and users of 4 Immergood 6 qt. Electric ice cream freezers. We do several ice cream socials a year for church, family and friends and enjoy having several flavors available. We absolutely love these freezers and are continually amazed by the firmness of the cream, the speed in making it, and especially how well the cream stays frozen for extended periods of time when packed and covered with the specially designed lid. This also makes it so much easier to makenit at home and transport to other locations. It was quite an investment but has been well worth the expense.

First let me say this is the best icecream maker you can get. But there is room for improvement. I bought the 6 qt. Motorized model. I measured the capacity of the can and it is 1C shy of 6 qt. Might not seem like a lot but when you try using it to capacity, by filling it 1 qt. shy of it's capacity, you soon find out you run out of space fast while churning. I recommend that if near 6 qt. capacity is what you need, spend the little extra and get the 8 qt. model.

Improvement needed: I am a fairly handy guy. Even so I find assembly of this device harder than it needs to be. One needs to align all various square mating surfaces of the motor, dasher, and can lid WHILE attempting to slide the motor mount into a slide in keeper on one side, and a latch down keeper on the other side. On my unit this is challenging. The slide in keeper is too tight. I find I must use a 1.5 lbs stepping hammer to persuade it into place. If both sides of the motor mount used latch down mounts/keepers this would not be an issue.

My wife and I were surprised at the quality of this freezer and even more surprised at the quality of the ice cream.

My cousin has a White Mountain ice cream maker and we we're looking for one as well. We couldn't find one and the Immergood one popped up on our feed so we looked at the quality, specs and reviews and decided to purchase one. I have to say that it's the best quality ice cream maker I've ever seen or used. We're so happy we bought it and would totally recommend it to anyone !!
