This thing is a beast

We got the 8 qt ice cream freezer and it’s huge! So far we’ve made 3 batches of ice cream and each have turned out really well. All of our friends rave about how good the ice cream is. We were worried about only getting the hand crank and considered getting a motor, but now that we have it we see how much fun it can be for family and friends to take turns “doing the Lord’s work” AKA making delicious ice cream!
We can make so much ice cream at once or do a smaller batch when we have fewer people. It’s good to put in the freezer and enjoy every day. Love this thing! The quality is unmatched and immergood thought of everything.

Just tried the 8 qt.

Just tried the 8 qt. hand crank with peach custard. The mechanics work very well as I could see the cream texture increasingly get thicker. The foam filled tub keep the ice cold as the brine mixture did it's work. This coming February, I will make Ice-cream in Uganda for many children who have never this frozen treat!

Great freezer, great company & great customer service!

I ordered an 8 quart Immergood ice cream freezer for our mission in Ukraine (Master’s International Ministries) from Homeplace Market. The freezer was shipped to someone stateside that was coming to Ukraine. The freezer was taken out of its original cardboard packaging for its long trip to Ukraine and the cardboard was burned. The freezer arrived in Ukraine in good condition minus the crank handle. I contacted Homeplace Market assuming they probably had missed putting the crank in the box originally. I was informed that though it could be a possibility, more than likely the people that had taken it out of the box had missed seeing it. So I advised the folks that had taken it out of the box to do some research where they had burned the cardboard, and sure enough, the crank was found under the rubble all charred and the plastic melted off.🥴To my surprise Wendell Zeiset from Homeplace Market offered to send a new crank free of charge. He certainly went above and beyond the call of duty, praise the Lord!🙏The freezer works great and makes excellent ice-cream, we are very happy with it! So we have a great freezer from a great company with an excellent customer service experience!

Go Big!

I purchased the 8 qt. Immergood ice cream maker and have been very pleased with it.
I evaluated several other options but this one was by far the best constructed unit available.
When deciding which model to purchase I realized you can always make a smaller batch in the 8qt machine but you can't make a larger batch in the smaller ones.
So far we have made several ice creams as well as sherbet and an Italian Ice.
If you want to go beyond plain vanilla I recommend THE ICE CREAM BOOK by Louis P. De Gouy originally published in 1938 this is the definitive book on ice-cream made by hand.

Eight quart freezer works well

used it for the first time today. i bought a six quart white mountain freezer in 1982 and have used it many times a year since then with good results, the wm bucket wood is still good but the bands that surround the staves is very corroded and fragile. i was goint to get replacement parts but found white mountain is longer the company it once was.
i found immergood freezers as a possible replacement and decided to go up a size.
i will say that the mixing action is as good or better than white mountain's and the freezing time is shorter. probably the insulated bucket is the reason. the ice cream ripened quicker (possibly because i also purchased the insulated cover) i had used a couple bath towels over the white mountain freezer.
i am well pleased with the immergood eight quart hand crank ice cream freezer.

The Immergood freezer is born out of frustrations with declining quality and lack of continued improvement of available options. Common sense things like using non-rusting parts in salt water seemed to be missing on other models available. Immergood was built with longevity in mind. After all, if you are making homemade ice cream, you would like to continue the tradition into the next generation. We appreciate your in-depth review. Have fun making ice cream.

We've made 24 quarts of ice cream since we bought the 8 quart hand crank at the end of August for a few parties at the farm and youth group at our church. Everyone that had the ice cream loved it. We got engraving on the mixing unit and stainless steel lid. We got the got everything in 2 days! Blow away that it was delivered so fast with custom engraving. Thank you!!

Amazing Quality and First Rate Service!

We haven't made our first batch of ice cream yet, (we're giving this to each other for our 49th wedding anniversary the end of this month), but the quality of this freezer is superb, and there's no doubt we will soon be making some delicious ice cream and other frozen treats for our children, our grandchildren, and our great grands! The engraving is beautifully done, and we really appreciated the suggestion to put something on each side of the gear frame! Great Product

Bought this unit for my 10 yo daughters Birthday party. Time til ice cream that’s ready to serve: 25min. Then the ice cream lasted over 8 hours afterwards with occasional stirring. Great quality and craftsmanship. Highly recommend even for a hand crank system.

Outstanding ice cream maker

Purchased the 8qt to replace my 30 yr old White Mountain unit. The new insulated tubs work great, I've done batches of about 6qt each. It only took 20-25 min to freeze. Half the time of the old unit. I highly recommend the maker.

will the Battery Powered head #1035 work with the 8 quart

Hello, No. unfortunately the only standard power head for the 8 qt. is the Air Powered Heads. The option does exist though, to build your own with an electric motor, pulley and belt system.
